Campaign started in 1997 by Friends of the Earth Finland criticises an alliance between Finnish forest giant UPM-Kymmene and Southeast Asian APRIL.

Finally in November 2009 UPM announced that it will discontinue pulp purchases from APRIL in 2010, effectively severing the last tie between the companies. Thus the campaign is over, and these pages are no longer updated.

Friends of the Earth Finland will continue monitoring APRIL and UPM. More information on APRIL's conduct can be found at APRIL-watch blogspot.
